La Marquesa is a lovely residential area with a mix of permanent and holiday homeowners of various nationalities.
La Marquesa Golf and Country Club is open to the public and supplies drinks and delicious meals, even if playing on the 18-hole Golf Course is not for you.
There are cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. Supermarkets, Dialprix and Market Rojales, Baldwins Artisan Bakery, Hairdressers, ATM, Clothing and Household Store, and if you fancy an easy level 10-to-15-minute walk, you can access Rojales Village for even greater choice of dining and a large variety of shops and services.
Alicante Airport is 40 minutes by car and Murcia Corvera Airport 50 minutes.
Rojales is found on the Costa Blanca coast in Spain, just 10 minutes from the splendid beaches, and close to the Sierra Orihuela mountains. Guardamar and Quesada is close by and in the three charming cities you will find shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, pharmacies, banks, hairdressers, medical and dental services and everything else you need. Activities for the whole family can be found in these areas including, bowling, mini golf, tennis courts, soccer fields, gyms, spas, public swimming pools and much more.
The blue flag beaches are a short drive away, 9km long sandy beach of Guardamar del Segura and “Torrelamata” beach in La Mata are the two closest.
Rojales is located just off two major salt lakes that have a cleansing effect on the air and help to give the area a particularly favourable health environment. The climate has an especially positive effect on people with I.A., asthma, allergies, rheumatism, and skin diseases.
Torrevieja is only 10 minutes away, by car, and here you find the shopping centre Habaneras and Carrefour. In Torrevieja town itself, you access an abundance of shops with masses of variety and a great nightlife.
From Rojales you can easily reach major cities in the area through the AP-7 Mediterranean Highway or the Coastal Highway N-332, such as Elche, Alicante, Valencia, Murcia and Cartagena to name a few.
